Here’s a brief history of how this one guide developed:

Ten years ago I wrote it as a short “Handout” to share with prospective clients (Newly minted hiring managers or those that never used a search firm even thought that they had internal hiring experience). It worked so well for years that another publication wanted an excerpt of how I was using this guide. From that point things exploded and the internet took our where and early , Hastily-written version was wanted by recruiting firms in North America, Europe and the Pacific rim (its true – I was even  surprised).

But that was the cheap, edited, abbreviated version and not intended for sharing with “real clients” like a CEO of a billion dollar company or regional manager of a several hundred million dollar division.

I have been hard at work for 3 years since producing the finest quality version that is suitable for sharing with the most discriminating, discerning executives. We invested thousands on graduates from major universities (Such as university of Chicago) editors, Proofreaders, and New York City houses to produce the highest quality print publication that helps managers understand the difference between exclusive and contingency, retained and engaged.
